Hey guys! I just got the decision and it says I got rejected. I have a 3.7 GPA, all the requirements completed I even checked my UC application all over again and everything is good to go. I still haven’t finished my Spring 2020 classes in order to update the grades but I am finishing with A’s. I don’t get the reason they rejected me. Did something like this happened to anyone else? I can’t stop crying is this a mistake? Thanks in advance.
If you TAG’d and got rejected from TAG then you are missing a TAG requirement. Since you were also denied regular admission this missing element may also be the same thing that prevented regular admission. You should call Irvine and see if you can get clarification or have someone go over your application.
Unfortunately, it is not uncommon.
I made someone go over my application and they said everything is good to go even the counselor. Thanks for answering I need to talk to them tomorrow. I still can’t figure out the reason.
I got waitlisted at UC Davis after applying for TAG in Computer Science with a 3.94 GPA. I called UCD admissions today, asking what requirement I was missing, and the staff member said that my TAG was satisfactory. They just couldn’t accept me due to the number of people who applied. UCD was my last choice but I’m kinda pissed off about the TAG rejection, as I’m pretty sure not all of the accepted applicants for CS were TAG applicants.
This could be the case with UCI as well. Try calling UCI admissions asap.
