If I have a 3.2 with my major classes and igetc done by the time I want to transfer, what are my chances of acceptance to UCI. I'm majoring in Biology. I know that tag for UCI bio majors requires a 3.4, but I want to apply anyways. Oh, and does anyone know if biology is an impacted major at uci?

I got into UCI with a 3.2GPA and probably an even lower Science GPA. I also worked full-time, had good EC’s, and my personal statement hands down dope. xD Unfortunately, I sent my SIR to UCD.

Yeah you can probably get in with a 3.2 - UC Irvine actually doesn’t read all essays as UC Berkeley and UCLA do.

I hear only Business Administration and Nursing are very impacted.

I’ve heard if you’re right around the school TAG GPA, you have a decent chance of getting in, providing that your major isn’t impacted. UCI raised their TAG GPA this year to 3.4 so a 3.2 MIGHT not be that safe anymore.
