UCI Transfer GPA Business Econ/Econ

Does anyone know the average/minimum GPA that Irvine has accepted for the previous/current years for a business economics or economics major? Currently have a 3.2 at a CCC.

What are some things I could do to better my chances of getting in?

TAG and/or get a higher grade

As lawlking said, if the GPA requirements for UCI’s TAG stays the same, you can TAG there with a 3.2+.

I can TAG, but not for my specific major (business economics/economics) I don’t meet one of the requirements which is to get a grade of B or better in Macro Econ (I got a C+)

Then you may want to consider TAG-ing to a different school, if the major is most important to you. Try to bring up your GPA this Summer and Fall. You can look through the UCI thread to see what kinds of GPA were accepted and for what majors. It’s really, really long, so just skip to the part where non-TAG acceptances start to be posted.

Is there anything I can do besides raising my gpa that would better my chances of getting in?

Write a good essay. That’s pretty much it. You can even start now if you want.

Sorry, but I don’t speak spanish

make sure you finish your calculus classes. this year they were very strict with pre-reqs and if you didn’t finish at least calc 1 + 2, you’re pretty much instantly rejected.
