Hey, I am wondering which would be better for Aerospace Engineering at either UCI or Pomona, thanks in advance

In my opinion, for engineering, Cal Poly Pomona tops UCI.

i would say cpp if you want a job out of college, if you want grad school then uci would be better

Hands on learning and great career placement services at Cal Poly Pomona.

If we are talking about undergraduate education, Cal Poly Pomona. Although UCI is also pretty good, and might be an excellent follow-up to a CPP B.S. engineering degree. Yes, I’d chose Cal Poly Pomona.

Ah thanks all!

My son got accepted to both and went to Cal Poly Pomona (and loves it!).

Although Cal Poly Pomona does triumph UCI in engineering, just make sure it’s Aerospace engineering that you really want to do. UCI does triumph Pomona in the aspect of variety of majors, so if you ended up not liking Aerospace, you could switch over. With Pomoma, you’d practically had to stick to it.

But that’s just me trying to defend UCI lol.

Although UCI is a very solid research-intensive university, Cal Poly Pomona’s focus on hands-on undergraduate education will give it an edge in undergraduate engineering. The same could not be said for other majors that most generally require post-graduate studies for careers (e.g. liberal arts, science, etc). Also, Cal Poly Pomona is impacted for all its engineering majors, which means, engineering students are typically motivated, have small classes, and tend to have more resources at their disposal than all other majors at that university. On top of that, and one very appealing selling point, is that tuition is a ridiculously-low $4,500… PER YEAR!
