<p>I just got wait listed last night with stats I thought were more than good enough for uci.</p>

<p>Feel free to post your stats and any info about the admission rate from the wait list :)</p>

<p>Seemed like everybody 2 years ago got in that was waitlisted on this site, but last year hardly any got in.</p>

<p>SAT: 1650 (470CR, 610 M, 570 W)
UC GPA: 4.03
EC’s: National Honor Society (2 years), CSF (2 years), AVID (4 years), Academic Tutor (1 year)</p>

<p>200+ community service hours</p>

<p>I got accepted to UCSD so I don’t understand why I got waitlisted</p>

<p>Apparently last year they had 900 extra students were were accepted and submitted their SIR, which would mean irvines yield went up and they are accepting fewer this year. Not sure about this year though, a lot of people who really wanted to go to uci didn’t get in, while people using uci as a safety got in</p>

<p>3.43 UW GPA
1820 SAT</p>

<p>I’m in the same boat as the OP. UCI is tougher this year</p>

<p>SAT: 2130 (660 Math, 760 Writing, 710 Reading)
UC GPA: 3.9
EC’s: Pres of Spanish National Honor Society, Debate, Academic Decathlon (one year each)</p>

<p>I guess being well-rounded is more important than I figured haha</p>

<p>I was waitlisted.</p>

<p>UC GPA: 3.93
SAT: 1850 (1940 superscore)</p>

<p>Took 13 Units of mathematics courses at a local state university and got A’s in all of them.</p>

<p>It also really matters what major you put down. I got in to UCD as a stats major and UCSB as a bio major (easier because they don’t have med school) and I put down bio for UCI and got waitlisted (most likely because they have a med school)</p>

<p>I got waitlisted for my first choice major, pharmaceutical sciences, but got in UCSB honors for my alt, bio</p>

<p>I also got into ucsd and i got waitlisted at irvine, and to be honest i thought my stats were better than a lot who got into irvine.</p>

<p>i got waitlisted to UCD, UCSD, and now UCI…***…i guess i’m going to UCR.</p>

<p>Waitlisted at UCSB and UCI, denied at UCSD and UCLA, accepted at Davis and Santa Cruz. Submitted my Statement of Intent to be come the UCI wait list. Does anyone have any info on the % of people accepted off wait list?</p>

<p>No one has been accepted from the wait list in the past 2 years. About 1500 students were offered a spot on the wait list each year. Approx 800 students accepted a spot on the wait list, and none got admitted :(</p>

<p>None got admitted from the waitlist? That’s just crazy. Why do they even bother?</p>

<p>@ appstoreyt I thought there was a year in which all of the waitlisted students got in? In both of the common data sets 0 people got in from the waitlist. We have no hope then :(</p>

<p>yay CC it is…just ****ed that ppl at my school who do drugs and other inappropriate stuff are accepted… just because they come from families with relatively no problems and are financially stable…while I was busting my butt trying to get in</p>

<p>i got waitlisted at UCI, UCSB, and UCD… rejected from UCLA, and accepted at UCM, UCR, Cal Poly SLO & Pomona, and more… (the other school i was accepted to were safety that I am not even considering)
Now all i am waiting for is Berkeley- which (from my trackrecord) I iwll be rejected most likely</p>

<p>AHHHH… I am sending in letters of appeal to all of the waitlisted and prob Berkeley</p>

<p>this year will not end quickly enough</p>
