Hey everyone, I'm currently a freshman in high school. Back in middle school I made some boneheaded mistakes and it was too late when I eventually realized what I did wrong. I was placed in lower classes as a freshman. I was wondering how this would affect my chances in applying to UCLA.

These are my current classes:

English Honors 1
World Geography
CPIPS (Integrated Physical Science)
Algebra 1
French 1
Athletics

My ECs:

Model United Nations Board Member (will be president soon)
Mock Trial Team
Honors Commission
French Club

I received all A's in these classes and a 4.2 GPA. I plan to take a summer math and science class at a local CC to jump ahead and get back on track. I was wondering how my placement in lower classes freshman, and possibly sophomore year, would affect my UC admission chances?

I plan to take this sequence for math and science:

CPIPS > Biology > SUMMER CHEMISTRY > AP Bio > AP Chem
Algebra 1 > Accelerated Geometry > Algebra 2/Trig > SUMMER Precalc > AP Calculus B/C

If I were to do this and get as many A's as possible for the remainder of high school, along with a high SAT score, would I have a competitive chance of getting into UCLA?

Thanks for the help! All advice is appreciated.
