I have been admitted to UCLA. However, the classes I updated on the form is a little different from what I am taking this quarter.

The details are:

I updated that there would be three classes for my last quarter, which would be business law, intro to linear algebra and japanese III.
However, what I am taking are business law and photo I.

So......
Does anyone know if a small change in class schedule will affect the admission?

Please help!!!

what is your major. Is linear algebra a preq for you?

my major is mathematics-applied science, actually I don’t think I have finished all the preps, maybe just three or four of them. I am an international student.

WHY didnt u tell them about the changes earlier??

you’re a math major and you didn’t take linear algebra? That is not a “small” change. You listed on your application that you intended to finish a major prereq and then you didn’t do it. This is grounds for rescinding your admissions.

Because I did not know I would choose these classes instead of the planned when I was updating the form. Actually I did not think I would get into UCs because I rarely finished the preps.

Then why did you choose not to finish a prereq?

…I don’t think linear algebra is a prep for my major. on the website it says" Transfer applicants to the Mathematics/Applied Science major with 90 or more units must complete as many of the following introductory courses as possible prior to admission to UCLA: two years of calculus for majors and one C++ programming course." and I have finished the calculus…

look at assist.org. Why would a math major not be required to take linear algebra? You are required to complete Single Variable Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Differential equations, and Linear Algebra, and programming.

Yes, I think so, too. That’s why I didn’t think I could get into UCs. Because I only finished the calculus. Does that have anything to do with the fact I am an International student?

ohhhhhhhh, i’m scared…

i can’t understand what you are trying to ask.

“Does that have anything to do with the fact I am an International student?”

Oh, that’s just my guess…never mind…
