UCLA + Berkeley

Take as many as you can in the Fall.

But won't fall not matter because the application dates are way before fall quarter grades (mid dec)

kmzizzle Ektaylor is right, it does matter because fall grades are very much counted.

but how are they counted when there's no grades for that term upon applying?
(i'm not arguing, i'm just trying to get more info)

no problem kmzizzle. I just went through this process so I can tell you that you submit the fall grades as soon as you get them. It seems to be implied that the review process doesn't really begin until those grades are in.

It's a good idea to take more prereqs this summer too if you have time.

b/c they look at your application well after the submit date. so by then, you will have to update your fall grades and it will be added to the application and the consideration.

also the fact that transfer students are notified last, gives me the impression that they will have to see your fall/winter grades.

Ah so you submit them after I see
yeah i am planning on jamming my summer/fall schedule with pre-reqs (econ1a,b, math 1a, acct)
I won't be able to take Math 1B before fall submission however because I have to take Math 49B, Math 1A first (that's summer and fall right there), -1 pre-req :[ But I will take it during winter session.
Is winter session considered?

and btw you guys don't know how much happier u made me by saying u submit your fall (and possibly winter) grades :D i was about to die

If you finish your prereqs during fall you'll be in good shape.

yes, they are. all grades you have achieved prior to the notification of submission must be taken into account (unless not mentioned or added by fault of the applicant).

i've been thinking about this legally. since the UC system is a public school system, they are bound to take in all disclosed and legally disclosed terms and conditions in order to make their decision without risk of getting sued, lol.

Hmm, so why are people stressing to complete (all) pre-reqs before applying? and some say that gives you a better advantage
but it seems like you could just take them fall/winter and submit them :o
???

Actually kmzizzle winter's too late for some schools so make sure you know the policy of the schools you're applying too.

I imagine taking some of the prereqs even earlier can only help.

finishing prereqs in the fall when u apply does or does not make your application look bad if you have amost no pre reqs done until that fall?

Student2008, most majors have more prereqs than you can cram into one quarter or semester.

and if you could, go for TAP. With 3.5 over GPA you can probably secure a spot at UCLA.

can u still say you will be tap certified even if you finish in the spring (last) quarter/semester?
and will it be weighted against you if it takes you until the last term to complete than being done at fall term?

and when ucla says de anza put 270 ppl in by transfers
i wonder how many of them did TAP at foothill?
and since de anza doesn't have tap, would UCLA weight that in any way? or do they expect u to take tap at foothill

bump halp :|

bump.
On these forums I've seen alot of mention of De Anza and Foothill. Are some cc's better than others??
