UCLA Bizecon Calculus Requirement

Is it necessary to fulfill the Calc requirement prior to turning in my application?

I am not starting Calculus 1 til either Summer '09 or Fall '10 (Applying in November '09)

Should I fulfill this requirement immediately???

Has anyone gotten in to UCLA and not fulfilled their requirement til the spring before transfer?

Im worried that Calc 2 could bring down my GPA, and would rather delay it more than anything.

if you even want to be CONSIDERED for the bizecon major you need to have calc2 completed by your last spring semester. however if you want to be competitive, ucla states that they want you to have calc2 done by the last fall semester. therefore youre gonna want to get calc1 in asap.
i know someone who got in as a bizecon eventhough he did calc2 in spring before transfer but he had a 4.0 and had all other prereqs done in the fall, so i wouldnt rely on it

Did he do TAP?

I'm debating TAP right now, I'd rather take easier teachers and guarantee my A's; rather than chancing a few B's

I would say that completion of requirements is a lot more important than a slightly higher GPA without fully completing requirements. You have until the spring before transferring. If you're applying in '09, just take Calc1 in Summer/Fall '09 and Calc2 in Fall'09/Spring'10.
