What are some of the GPAs and other factors of those who made it into the Business major in UCLA? you guys know anyone who successfully transfered in or know business students there who transfered in before? What are some of their GPAs and other qualifications?
I have a 3.5, completed IGETC and all other courses, AlphaGammaSigma honor society member, secretary in business club and also member in transfer club.

I'd say GPAs close to 4.0, it's a VERY hard program to get into.

UCtrnsfer, I regret to inform you that u won't get admitted to UCLA with your GPA. Business Econ is an impacted major at UCLA. Transfer students who were admitted lstyear had around 3.7 GPA. I hope u applied to UCSB as your safety. UCSB business econ program is great... do the extra mile with an emphasis in accounting. Big 4 accounting firms recruit more UCSB students than UCLA and Berkeley combined.

is the business econ major impacted for transfers only or for freshmen as well?

hcex22: impacted for everybody, transfers and frosh alike

I don't think it's impacted for freshman because technically, freshman are not part of the major yet. They are "Pre-business econ" and must meet certain requirements and apply for admission to the actual major once they get to their junior year.

"Big 4 accounting firms recruit more UCSB students than UCLA and Berkeley combined."

Would you stop spreading your propoganda? In another thread, a PwC rep talked about how a national directive came down from headquarters saying only to recruit out of UCLA and USC for its southern california offices.

Once again, I laud UCSB, including it's accounting department, but that statement is ridiculous. Post a link of support if you want to make that kind of claim.
