UCLA but not SD

not really becasue UCSD has lower yield than upstream competitive schools.

@ib612

Yeah, I think that’s wrong. I’m in top 15% at my school, but not top 10%, and I got in.

Even Harvard and Princeton don’t have 100% in top 10%, it must be wrong.

I’m actually quite happy you got rejected. I hate meeting people like you who judge so quickly in an elitist fashion.

I know more than one person that got rejected from UCSD and accepted at UCLA. It’s common, especially if you already live in SD.

“100% of the people were in the top 10% of graduating class, no other school has that”

I doubt this too. I’m around 20% (3.88uw, top 100 HS in nation though) and am accepted =)

You guys are aware that many high schools do not rank and are there for not accounted for in that statistic, right?

“I’m actually quite happy you got rejected. I hate meeting people like you who judge so quickly in an elitist fashion.”

Thank you, subtle_overlord, for demonstrating the meaning of “irony.”

You guys are taking this way to seriously. Lighten up, enjoy your lives. I simply wanted to know if anyone was in my situation.

I think SD is an excellent institution. Take note that I never said UCLA was better than SD. I simply stated that it astronomically beasts it.

Aawww… is the little ■■■■■ getting tired and cranky because he didn’t get all the toys he wanted for Christmas? You’re so cute!

I think UCSD is a pretty cool school. It rejects rollotamasi and doesn’t afraid of anything.

In other news, I sent my Standing-in registration to SD and will go there next year, but must concede that UCLA astronomically beastialities UCSD…
It seems only those who didn’t get in try to cloud this essential and most basic of facts.

^^Nice two month bump.

But UCSD and UCLA both are great, top tier schools. I lived in LA for a few years and the traffic/gangs/pollution drove me nuts. SD has the best location in the UC system hands down IMO. But if you go to UCLA you get easier bragging rights since its name is so recognizable, not to mention a great education.

That being said, Berkeley beasts UCLA and Harvard beasts Berkeley.

About UCSD’s GPA… I went to the Admit Day and the average GPA for my incoming freshmen class is a 4.08. :)
