Strengths: 4.0 GPA - that pretty much necessitates an acceptance in my major. While only 3/4 prerequisites were completed, I took everything that was available to me. I took an Ethics course that didn’t satisfy the Ethics requirement - so if I do end up going to UCLA, I may be able to petition for subject credit. Also, I took a course in my major at Berkeley (incidentally a prereq for UCLA) and got an A in it. So that definitely looked good. I had demonstrated interest in my major as well, moderately strong extracurriculars, and honestly just a strong application overall. I don’t mean to brag - but I’ve worked very hard to be in this position, and I’m glad it’s paid off.
I also was invited to apply for the Regents scholarship. I think the class taken at Berkeley probably made me stand out, honestly. I have to finish that application…
