@ishitak They don’t consider your GPA when you applied, they consider your GPA after the fall semester. For psychology, most people complete their IGETC requirements by fall as well. But I think you have some chances
Hey guys, just a reminder to go to your TAP counselor either this week or the next to get TAP certified! Deadline is March 1
@ishitak Hey another psych major! You have a great chance of getting in. It’s also a huge bonus your part of the Honors Society for Psychology. Wish my school had that :((
My fellow psych majors, or anyone that is currently enrolled as a psych major at UCLA, do you guys mind chancing me? I do not want to repost my stats since I have already posted them once. You can view them on page 6! Please and thank you.
Hey guys if you want to “chance” yourself this website is super helpful! https://universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major
It lists average transfer GPA and acceptance rate (%) by major for ALL UCs.
Any European studies majors? Even if you know someone who is but doesnt use these boards I’d appreciate that too! Lmao.
Too bad I can’t request for a “chance” since I’m an Art Major applicant where the portfolio kinda means more than the grades itself.
@eveybody I wouldn’t bother requesting a chance me since there isn’t really anything you can do to improve your “chances” as deadlines have passed. I would just stay busy with other activities and put college decisions in the back of my mind and wait till April!
Does anyone have an idea of when they might start reviewing transfer apps? I’m taking two 8 week classes for my major that would end around early march and wanted to list the grades in the tau.
two more months until decisions are released! have any of you heard of a date as to when we’ll be notified?
@8CLAP4SUP Time has never gone by so slowly ? Based on this thread: http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/2120804-acceptance-dates-2019.html#latest it seems like we should be hearing back around April 22-25.
I just want it to be April already! lol
I got accepted to my “realistic” top choice already but I’m still anxious for that slim chance of getting into UCLA.
Just received a “We need a translated copy of your transcripts” email from UC. It’s kinda weird since my transcript is mainly in english except for 2 Filipino Language classes.
Wow thank you for that! Indeed it does ?
@vrios95 Don’t really understand the point of you expressing “UCLA is not and will never be my first choice” lol
@Ruberi Lol everyone so hung up on what she said. She explained why a couple pages back
Took a year off for health reasons. I got accepted last year:
4.0 gpa
applied math major
igetc completed
Missing 1 major prep class: chemistry 101
@Ruberi I explained that a couple pages back. It was more so a recommendation to apply and I have negative connotations associated to the campus for many reasons
@Ohm888 I read on some thread from years ago that you said “most international courses do not transfer anyway” does that mean they hardly ever factor in the decision? And they would tend to focus on my US CC grades?
I was talking about internationals who apply directly as transfers from an international school. Most internationals that are accepted have gone to a CCC.
