Okay, so i was accepted to UCLA as an Electrical Engineering major and my admissions contract said i have to maintain at least a B unweighted average(3.0 unweighted GPA). So i just realized that my GPA could end up being a 2.85 unweighted. Do you think i will get kicked out because of this?! I am doing my best to make sure my GPA does not fall below an unweighted 3.0, but i am really worried and am wondering what could happen in the worst case scenario that my GPA ends up being a 2.85. Thanks in advance.

You will have to write a reason why it dropped so much, and if you are lucky they will just put you on academic probation. If you are unlucky then you might get rescinded.

What is academic probation?!

Unless you have a solid reason for getting a 2.85 unweighted GPA and tell UCLA before your final transcript is mailed by your high school, your admission will be rescinded.

From the UCLA website:
Academic Probation
If placed on probation, you will have two terms to get your overall GPA back up

If your term GPA falls below 2.0 while on probation, you will become Subject to Dismissal

If you do not bring your overall gpa up within two terms, you will become Subject to Dismissal

Subject to Dismissal
There are three ways a student can become STD:

GPA in any one term falls below 1.5
Term GPA falls below 2.0 while on Probation
Student does not clear Probation within two terms
All STD students are mailed academic guidelines that they must meet in order to regain good academic standing.
The steps necessary to clear STD status depend on the individual student's case.

hahahhahhahah an STD person.

hahhahahhah UCLA is full of STDs.

Uhh...i think you mean UCSB, but whatever. So, I most likely won't get a 2.85...but i'm just thinking in terms of the worst case scenario. I have all Bs at this point in my 6 classes, but one is a B-, one is a B+ and one could potentially be a B+...so i really dont know what is gonna happen. Should i report this to them anyway, jsut in case?

the UCs do not count plusses and minuses, so your B- is a 3.0

I know that...i'm just worried that it might fall to a C by the end of this semester. The class that i have a B- in is quite difficult lol...so i'm already studying my arse off for it to make sure i dont get a C.

Try your best and try to keep the B- a B-, and try to boost the B+ to an A- just in case your B- drops to a C.
