Ucla Housing?!

For those who are transferring or already there at UCLA... would you guys recommend UCLA transfer housing or university owned off campus housing.... or what?

im going with on campus housing, and probably will move out halfway through the year cause im going to be joining a frat one of my good friends is in.

so expensive around the school. I have a friend who goes there, he and his roomate stay in a 1 bedroom maybe 1 mile from campus....$1700/month, 2 bedrooms go for $2700/month. If you don't mind sharing a one bedroom with someone (i.e. someone sleeping in the living room), then it is not really that bad in price, but I think for just a little more you could live in the dorms and include food, although I am not sure the price of the dorms.
Westwood is a great area, just hella expensive. I will probably commute to school and stay in culver city.

Damnnnn...

so what do you guys recommend? Off-campus housing or on-campus housing?

on campus for sure, at least the first year or so. you meet a lot more people that way, especially at a big school like ucla.

I hear that on campus housing isn't that great. Do you recommend a certain plaza?

Where should I live if I wanna be a hermit?

^Your shell ;)

im trying to get into deneve(sp?)
its the one plaza i visited earlier this year and it was pretty damn nice

I need a roommate who's friendly and doesn't snore.

I'll cook.

haha dhl! are you going for sure then? so i take it you're planning to live off-campus if you do?

why off-campus?

cause you mentioned cooking.
cant really do that in the dorms.

oh... well forget the cooking part then :)

unless you consider microwaving cooking.

yeah. im gonna miss my foreman grill meals :(

the food on campus is great! there are so many options hehe. i was in heavennnn when i stayed with my friend, lol

i need to ask if my sorority is good there too, since reputation often varies a lotttt from school to school, haha. if it's good though, and im lucky enough to get into the house, im thinkin that might be pretty sweeeet.

So I'm guessing that Deneve Plaza is the nicest out of the others? Is that considered off campus housing or on campus housing? I don't know what to do!

I actually am in a sorority at my current school and I already asked the house if they had room for me next year and they said they didn't. So.... you might want to start asking in case it fills up soon.

how far is ucla from the homeless tents?
