UCLA interesting development in events

i just recently had a good friend get admitted into ucla, the art program the same as i (suffice to say we are both elated), he got admitted despite not having completed the majority of his art pre-reqs and he still has not finished his math requirements, they're not even IP. He's going to try and test into statistics or college algebra…has there ever been a history of this happening? will ucla rescind his acceptance despite the fact that they reviewed his application and saw that not only was he not enrolled in any classes this semester but that he isn't even close to being done with his math requirement, if he doesn't test into a college level math?

I just thought that i'd share this tid bit because there is much talk about pre-reqs, igetc requirements, etc…and my friend seems to have bypassed all of those.

Any program at UCLA that requires a portfolio or audition is evaluated by a faculty committee of that major. The primary admission consideration is talent and academic preparation, while important, is secondary.

exactly, just as ms. sun stated. it is the art department dude! rock on and congratulations. ucla has a superb art department, and LA is a good place for artists who want to work.
