UCLA Likely letter..?

See the beginning of the thread. No one that has gotten the email has been rejected, except for one person who got rescinded, but people have gotten in that have not gotten this email.

so there is still hope that I will get in without the email invitation …

mickjagger, are you in state?

So…this is sort of off-topic, but do you know what it takes to get rescinded? Like, is dropping from mostly A’s to B’s means you get rescinded, or do you have to start getting something like straight C’s?

minimum of GPA 3.0 and no grades below ‘C’

Got the letter. I am so excited!

Uggh, I have a really bad feeling I’m going to get a D in my math class. Though I’m not expecting anything lower than a A-/B+ in my other classes.

EDIT: And just to get this back on-topic, got the letter too! Congrats to everyone else who got it.

I got the e-mail last night! This is exciting!

Received on Sat, Mar 5, 2011 at 11:34 PM. :)

didn’t get any, oh, boy !!!

Got one too! We’re in for sure–they wouldn’t invite us to their open house if we weren’t in!

Congrats everyone! Go Bruins!

does Berkeley give anything like this?

Just wondering, are these likely letters sent out to students who applied for a specific major (engineering)?

^I do not believe so as I applied undecided engineering.

The emails are all tailored to each student’s specific major choice. If you applied as an intended bioengineering major, then your email will mention some information about it. And WongTongTong, I am out of state. How about you?

Yeah, I’m also out of state.

Also, are we all at a general consensus that people who received this letter are guaranteed admission at UCLA?

My daughter (also aerospace engineering) got the email too. Singh2010, what other schools did you apply to for your major? So far she’s heard from Cal Poly SLO, Purdue, Davis, Irvine and U Co Boulder. Waiting for UCSD and UCLA.

Also, how many of you got the invitation to apply for the UCLA alumni scholarship?

Same here. =)

I know UCLA is awesome (and no word on admit yet - but D did get the invitation to attend engineering open house) - but any comments on how UCLA aerospace engineering program compares to other schools (specifically Cal Poly SLO, Purdue, U Co Boulder, Davis, Irvine, San Diego)?

UCLA ranks high, but that specific major doesn’t seem to come up on the “top” list. Ranks don’t always mean much, but would like any feedback…

I think everyone got the email for UCLA alumni scholarship.

Did anyone else get the letter of interest from UCSD engineering?
