UCLA meet and greet...how to dress?/how is it?

I was asked to attend a meet and greet today for a research position I was offered. Should I attend the meeting with a dress shirt and pants (no tie?) or just normal clothes. I don't want to look too formal there or not formal at all.

Also, anyone know what I should expect from this meet and greet?

Thanks and much appreciated!

Dress shirt/tie sounds good.

Will let them know you’re serious.

yeah nice shirt, tie and pants
good luck:)

I sometimes go to class with everything but the tie…I’ve seen people with sweaters and ties on top of that, and not because they were pledging. I think once you get into higher education, it’s okay to be more formal. You don’t really see as many baggy pants and oversized T-shirts as much as you did in high school, which means college students dress somewhat nicer.

Plus it wouldn’t hurt for you to dress up once in a while, right? Gives you practice for when you need it.
