UCLA or UCB for electrical engineering

SIR's are due in like one day, and i still don't know where to go. I got in UCB (spring for EECS - electrical engineering and computer science) and UCLA fall for biochem, but i probably will switch to EE as well. I also have carnegie mellon for ECE (electrical and comptuer engineering). I don't know which one i should go still because i m afraid that i might get owned at Berkeley because it's spring semester and I won't know any body. However they are almost the best in that field. SUGGESTIONS>> plz thnx

berkeley for sure

well obviously berkeley has a better program.

However, you have to choose a school based on whether or not it is a good match for you, not based on how good the program is. You will be much more successful at a school thatyou will enjoy and feel comfortable at. If you are comfortable at Berkeley, then go there. I am a business major and even though Berkeley has the Haas school of Business (#3 in the nation behind UPenn and MIT), I chose to do business economics at UCLA because I knew that Berkeley was just not the place for me. Also, another thing about choosing a school based on its program and nothing else is that the average freshman student changes their majors 2.7 times....so there is a good chance you will change your major and in that case, you should have just gone to the school that you like more because with your new major, it doesnt make a difference. Just go with your gut feeling about where you would fit in the best. Oh and pick UCLA because its better (lol jk)

ooo I just read your post and realized that you got into Berkeley for Spring semester, not Fall. I would think that it would be a difficult adjustment getting to Berkeley in the Spring when everyone has already established a group of friends and knows their bearings. Personally, I would go to UCLA hands down because I think that it is just a better environment and it is less competitive, so you can enjoy your college experience more.
