ucla provisional acceptance questions: low spring grades

hey, i'm getting a C in my calc2 and i've been admitted as a bizecon major, should i disclose this to them now or just roll with it? ill prolly come out w/ a 3.11 gpa this semester, vs the 3.85 i admitted w/ (ive taken on job responsibilities, a volunteering project, and a tough as hell course load)

I'm pretty sure it says you should report it only if you get D's or F's.

I'm not going to be doing so hot this semester either, so I'm interested to see what people have to say.

No you dont have to report a C.

and what if one were to hypothetically and for the sake of exaggeration get a 2.0?

What does the provisional agreement say?

report any "drop in academic performance (including any D and F grades)"

provisional agreement says nothing regarding GPA, im scared to list it as a drop in academic performance, for fear of being rejected.

i share the same affliction.

if you got admitted with like a 3.8, i'd be slightly worried if you got a over a full gpa lower than your average.

What I'm worried about is submitting my SIR, them seeing the spring drop and rescinding my admission post June 2nd. Not only would I not be in UCLA, I wouldn't have anywhere else to go either.

Where do you freaky people come from? Seriously the OCD is a bit too much.

As long as you pass your classes you will be fine, stop freaking yourselves out.

They dont WANT to rescind your admission so calm down.

im getting an incomplete in one of my classes and I already reported it to ucla (busecon major too!) anyway their automated message was that they would review how this would impact my overall record and I would be notified in 15 days of my status

keep us posted kaje

yeah i'll let you guys know what happens once i get that email. its like waiting for admissions all over again! :[

where are you supposed to report changes -- because I have a question of whether I don't take 2 classes during summer (they are upper div global studies classes -- not GE's or pre-reqs) if that will affect my admissions.

WHEN WILL THE STRESS END. goodness

Guys, I'm stuck in a rut too... I might be able to fulfill one GE... I called the office and the girl on the phone told me that if I tried everything in my power to finish it but could not, I have to convey that the best I could through the report and she said they might allow me to take it in the summer. I am scared to death that the acceptance might hang on this.

Actually, C's do matter. My admission was rescinded from senior year of high school because I got 2 C's in AP Comp Sci and AP Lit... so just be careful. Try your best to keep it up. It's not fun getting kicked out ;/

once you get accepted theres a link on the left that says the new bruins website or soemthing. then you go there and theres a list of things to do. and one is report/update changes. You get to update winter-summer 2008. so edit your winter grades, your spring classes (if they changes) and if you plan on taking summer courses add them in.
