UCLA Regents but no Berkeley Regents

Did anyone receive the UCLA Regents but not the Berkeley Regents? I think that you can only receive regents from one of these schools and it looks like UCLA got to choose first.

I find it odd that the schools get to decide which one of them gets to interview you for a Regents. I would have thought that they would give the student the option (e.g. congrats, which of the following 2 schools do you want to apply for the Regents?).

OP, I was in the same situation as you a few years back - Regents from UCLA but not Cal. But I know it’s definitely possible to get Regents at both, as this actually happened to my older brother. Congrats, and good luck at wherever you choose to go!

You can definitely get both.

My daughter got regents for both UCLA and Cal, so it is possible.

I’ve gotten them so from Cal and UCSC, but not from UCLA. I’m kind of disappointed because I’m almost as interested in UCLA as in Cal. I’m not even bothering with UCSC anymore though as it was my back up school. Does anyone know if UCLA is still sending them out?

UCLA had a deadline for submitting essay for 8th Feb, so they are done with invitations. UCB financial aid rep says that they are going to send invitations until first week of March.

You can definitely get more than one - I received Regents’ from every single UC to which I applied, as well as offers from UCs to which I did not apply.

Callian, do you know whether all of the regent scholarship invitations have gone out? I had called in to the financial aid office and they told me that the invitations are going out in stages until beginning of March. However, I do not see any recent posts about regent scholarship invitations.
