So I have heard that some people who have been invited to apply for the UCLA Regents Scholarship have actually been denied admission. I know the letter says that the invitation does not constitute a guarantee of admission, but I was just wondering what are the odds that a Regents invite is rejected to the school itself?

I don’t think anyone here can tell you that. Admission is dependent upon other factors such as prereq completion, GPA, PS and EC. It seems that Regents’ invite is based upon what the Financial Aid and Scholarships department thinks about your application.

Personally, I don’t think many applicants would be rejected with a 4.0 GPA. I would only suspect a person to be rejected in an extremely impacted major, or missing pre-reqs. After-all, regents scholarship is extremely selective.

You dont need to have a 4.0 for a regents invite
