UCLA Regents Question

<p>I posted this on the Scholarships Forum, got referred to here:</p>

<p>Do you guys know when the letters for the invitations to the UCLA Regents Scholarship are mailed? Some of my peers have already received them, and I'm confused as to why I haven't received one. Not counting senior year 1st semester, I have a 4.0 GPA, and 2250+ on the SAT I, 6 SAT IIs (all over 750), activities I'm very dedicated to, awards (including two on the national level), and about 400 hours of volunteer work. </p>

<p>Could it be that there are mailing delays? Or is the selection/screening process sometimes arbitrary?</p>

<p>Also, when are they mailing Berkeley Regents invites?</p>

<p>It's definitely arbitrary. People with worse stats than me got it, for instance, and I didn't. They were sent first week in February and are due the 15th I believe, so I don't think they're going to send any more out.</p>

<p>Last year Berkeley sent information about Regents' and Chancellor's mid-February (14th), followed by interviews, etc.</p>
