I am taking one of my required classes this term. It is offered on a pass/fail basis. At my school, a Pass is definted as C or greater. This is for my math class.

I got into UCLA and am completing all my classes as required. Will the fact that I get a P instead of a grade in my Math class cause me to get rescind? I don't have a choice about the grade... I still get the units for it and its hard math... I also have AP math units too.

Do I need to tell them that its P/NP instead of ABCDEFG

I’m not sure about the answer but I wanted to commend you on your title for this thread - it’s enticing haha.

If it’s not a major preq, then probably not. I suggest you report the change on the report change form anyways though.

Its definately not a prereq. Its just a math class though. Its not required cause I already have math AP calc and math AP stats… But it might be required because its my only math in college? Do I need to report it?

And its the only class i’ve ever done p/np

If it’s for IGETC, then probably not. You don’t have to report it, it might just raise some eyebrows if you don’t.

On a side note, may I ask why you would take it if it’s not a preq and you took AP calc and AP stats? You could have used those to get the math req waived (I think…).

I wasnt sure and i kinda just wanted to take a math class

Ahaha, I see. Understandable. I did the same. College experimentation ftw!

yeah im actually really bad at math and just wanted to learn it without freaking out andd dying everytime there was a test

MY advice is to call UCLA and ask.
