Can UCLA revoke the decision if I drop about 2 online classes i am taking through BYU? I hope this isnt a problem :(( I mean my school grades will be fine

If you listed those classes on your UC App, then you cannot drop them or your acceptance will be rescinded. However, if those classes were not listed on your application, then it’s fine if you drop them.

You need to report that you dropped the courses. If those courses were necessary to make you UC-eligible, then you will likely be dropped. If they’re random classes that don’t matter (like if you were taking an accounting class for fun or something like that), then they might be okay with it. But you have to report the drop if you listed it on your app, otherwise they may find it later after you’ve already submitted your SIR to UCLA and you can get rescinded and left without a college.

Wait so if i listed them on my UC app i can’t drop them/?? I might be in big trouble… What if they are just online classes i am taking outside of school though??

My major is ethnomusicology by the way.

I wouldn’t drop them. There’s a wait list of students waiting to take your place, I wouldn’t chance it.

Would calling them to ask even threaten my chances? Just to ask whether I can drop?

calling would be fine, it’s not like they know who’s calling.

@StevJ17 Say you called UCLA and someone on the other end goes, “Yeah sure drop it we don’t care” You sure you talked to the right person?

I would not mess with this unless I have something in writing from UCLA before I dropped a course.

Agree with cahsparent. People who answer the phones aren’t necessarily admissions officers, so they don’t know always know everything that’s going on. Like the people who incorrectly said that getting the ID number on URSA meant admission into UCLA.

Just suck it up and finish the classes…no point in taking a chance
