Hello! I am attending UCLA in the fall, and I have always wanted to join a sorority, particularly one with east and south asian members. I looked through the options but all of the asian sororities seem to consist of solely east asian members, even if they call themseleves asian. While I have no problem joining a sorority consisting of only east asian members, chances are me being south asian probably wont count in their eyes. Where do I go to join a sorority now? I really wanted to join one with people of similar backgrounds ): looking for help!!!
There are the National Panhel sororities that are not single race and not focused on a particular culture. The way you join one is by going through Rush which is held in the winter quarter at UCLA and there will be opportunities to learn about the Greek system and how to register for Rush in the fall.
There may also be some specialized sororities that do focus on just one ethnicity or one interest (music, religious affiliation, major). You can search for those online.
