UCLA students - low stats but admitted?

For the sake of myself and others hoping to apply to UCLA with low stats, would anyone be willing to share their story of acceptance?
You could post academic, extra-curricular activities, essay, etc.

The story could be from someone else too.

Please and thank you. lol Anyone who replies to this is a beacon of light. amen.

We had a kid accepted into UCLA as a recruited athlete. He was one of the best swimmers and a very good baseball player.

You can use that tool to gather a profile of applicants and and accepted students by campus or system wide.

They admitted a little more than 16k total. 54% of those admitted had a 4.2 or better
You’ll note UCLA admitted nobody below 3.0 GPA
3.0 - 3.39 - there were 117
3.4 - 3.79 there were 684

‘low stat’ admissions are few and far between.

I encourage anyone who’s interested to apply. I talked to a kid the other day who wanted to apply to Stanford and Harvard with a 3.6W GPA and 1900 SAT. He knew his chances were zero but, he wanted to brag about having an application under consideration by those schools. Whatever floats your boat… There is nothing wrong with having a dream - for a handful of people, they work out - just have a realistic plan B.

DD went to CC and transferred to UCLA. If you have AP credits, some can count toward the 60 semester unit minimum to transfer. Some students took that route and transferred after just one year of CC. But it takes careful planning now! Good luck!

Thank you all for your responses!
