Found it on some random community college website
You mean Ms. Sun’s blog? I doubt that’s accurate. If it is, then this year they will put a more realistic amount on the wait list and not give us false hope
nope it’s from Cabrillo College. It’s a document so i dont have a link but here’s the title of it “UCLA TAP Info and Tips - Cabrillo College”
well that’s pretty low rate, I hope the number 700 is including the people who didn’t choose to be waitlist.
Any psych major here? could you share your GPA and TAP/Non-Tap?
I just logged into the admissions portal to see what it said (trying to compare notes from freshman waitlist a couple years ago) and I noticed it said "Decisions will be made on a rolling basis throughout the month of May and will be posted here on our decision site. " Not sure why it says May? It should be June, right? Maybe it’s just a glitch because that’s what it should say for freshman applicants…
whoa that is strange. i did read this under the Waitlist Frequently Asked Questions: Since offers to waitlisted students are based entirely on the response from our initial admission offers, it is likely that we may not be able to notify you of an admission decision until after June 1, and no later than July 1.
So it’d be awesome if we do hear back this month.
@Hiroaki0422 i believe my friend was a biz econ (sorry not pysch) with a 3.75 gpa with TAP and got accepted.
it’s weird that you guys know so many people that got accepted off the waitlist but there were only like 25 last year haha
HONESTLY. that’s why i was really shocked when i heard that only 23 students got accepted. it’s super strange…maybe my world is just that small but i feel like i know at least 3 that got in. my cousin also told me that his friends got off the waitlist from last year too…
Maybe ucla forgot putting 0 after 25 haha.
Yeah I find this strange too. 25 seems to be a really small number. Fingers crossed
Or maybe you guys are friends with twenty something people who got accepted off of the waitlist, which I don’t think is possible.
assuming that Ms.Sun is credible…, UCI waitlisted 1,000 students in 2013 and accepted 29 and the next year UCI waitlisted 1700 students and accepted 300 students.
I doesn’t make sense to me… why did UCI waitlisted more students…
25 sounds like depressing but I don’t think only 25 gets admitted this year.
I kinda think it is even possible that 250 students get accepted!
This is for UCLA though, it’s only the second year they’ve had a wait list for transfers
I also know a few people who have gotten accepted from the wait list. I think it just depends on your major and how many spots are available for your department.
@lakeeshow310 are you talking about last year’s transfer waitlist?
or freshmen…
If ( 25=false)
- people who said they got accepted from waitlist are lying
- Ms Sun is lying
- UCLA is lying
else if ( 25 =true)

It's a small world!

so apparently my friend’s advisor from cc said that a lot of ppl get accepted off of the waitlist…idk who to trust anymore.
Only 23 or 25 got accepted from the two places I saw.
