@trnsferstudent Probably same as those accepted before us.
I called their undergrad office and asked them more about my application but the lady sounded really annoyed and gave out no useful information. Did anyone else call a different number? I called (310) 825-3101
That’s the number I called before. The first time I called I got a really nice, helpful lady who was super friendly and willing to answer a lot of questions about my situation. She was really nice and sympathetic too. The second time I called to ask a different question I got some lady who didn’t want to give me the time of day haha. I think it’s really hit and miss. I suggest just calling again until you get someone friendlier.
did any of you guys add/submit on anything additional like essays, fall grades, and expected spring grades
Apprently someone I heard did nothing but accept the wait list offer and got admitted by the end of may.
@abeamas12 I did all of those except for spring quarter I put IP. @trnsfrstdnt are you talking about last year?
Yea last year
One of my friends was on the UCLA waitlist last year and he only put the fall grades and spring courses and he got accepted.
same my friend just put his fall grades and IP and got in. he did have a 3.92 GPA and that is something I dont
any idea of what his GPA was, his major, and if he was a transfer student? @MartinSJ
They don’t count the GPA for winter and spring courses, so that’s why. They base GPA only through the fall term.
Just submitted my optional essay as well as my fall grades and spring classes. By the way how many characters was everyones essay? mine came to around 4000 with the essay and the classes and spaces. Best of luck to everyone and I hope we all get in!
.
Last year’s waitlist thread was far less active and no one mentioned psych or stats majors.
Seems this year they waitlisted a lot more than before.
That means lower chance of getting in if more ppl are on it
every year the waitlist option decreased for freshmen. so it’s probably the same for us.
There were only 25 transfers last year that got in and last year was the first year they opened it for transfers (I believe). You just can’t gauge year to year. It boils down to ppl who SIR somewhere else essentially. Good luck!
only 25?! wow chances must be very slim…
so apparently twenty-three (23) students were admitted from the waitlist for Fall, 2014 (700 on the waitlist).
@ where did you get the information 700?
