I got waitlisted as a transfer which is actually very okay with me. I had called admissions on Monday to see what was going on and the woman I spoke to said that it was a very slim chance that I would be admitted or waitlisted. She said "You will most likely be denied." But instead a letter was sent later that day and I got waitlisted! Yay for me! I haven't gotten the letter yet but I'm assuming I'm just going to send in my Spring semester grades, correct?

I'll be transferring in as a Sophmore to CLA.
College GPA - 3.82
High School GPA - 2.88 (This is what killed me. I don't have 26 credits so this counted against me.)
ACT - 26

Anyone have tips to sway the admissions people?

In my classes I'm getting about a 3.75 right now. I'm shooting for a 4.0 this semester, though and I still have 6 weeks to do it. So I guess I'm also kind of asking... what are my chances?

ALSO (sorry for all of the questions) how does financial aid work for transfers? I have yet to do FAFSA. I'd really like to get some help because of my grades and making the Dean's List at my school... but I don't know what to expect. My mother handled all of the financial aid stuff this year and it's my dad's turn to do it next year ('09-'10) SO I'm pretty much on my own! Haha. Should I just apply for as many scholarships as I can once/if I am admitted?

Thanks, guy!
