Just got accepted off waitlist for mechanical engineering. 4.0 GPA
I just got off the waitlist this morning as well, holy beans. Aerospace Engineering , 3.91 GPA. What am I gonna do.
Congrats on getting off the waitlist!
I’m curious, what does the page change to?
@SquidWardT Login is still the same. Then, “Congratulations, You’re UCLA bound!” Banner At the top of the letter. Options to accept/decline. Admission contract and other tabs on the side.
Do you guys think at this point they will even send a rejection notice either today or tomorrow? I highly doubt I’ll get in seeing they have less than 48 hours to tell us, but I wish they would just say no already.
Are engineering people getting their decisions yet? Whether accepted or rejected?
@anything2 If you look at the last several posts, looks like they released engineering acceptances but no rejections yet.
So I just called admissions and they said they are now releasing waitlist admissions until the end of July. Both the counselor I spoke with and the voice recording said so.
@thepromise123 the end of July? Oh man, it is quite late then.
Hey y’all, if you’ve been accepted, how long did it take to see your provisional aid letter?
Nothing new on my portal. Isn’t today the last day?
@thepromise123 called them and it seemed that office said the last day for notification was extended to the end of july.
End of July?! We are being gang banged by the admission office.
@Mitch22262231 Yes, I just called the admission office. They play a voice recording and announce the extended date for decision release.
I wonder why they’re delayed.
The only reason I can think of is they haven’t gotten around to reviewing everyone’s wait-list application.
All of the regular decisions are made so the number of spots must be known by now unless they’re expecting people to drop out at this point.
I appealed by rejection at UCLA most likely due to a missing prereq. I got off the Cal waitlist, highly unlikely will take up UCLA even if appeal is accepted. Is there a way to withdraw my appeal?
@108Degrees Maybe you could try calling the office. I’m sure they can withdraw the appeal.
@SquidWardT I got confused, too. And they haven’t officially announce the extension yet. From previous thread, my guess is that they may release all the decision at the beginning of this month.
