Chances?

Your UC GPA can not be higher than your weighted GPA. Did you school offer many more honors and APs than you took? UCs, especially the top ones, want to see hardest possible schedule.

Your ACT, SAT IIs, and GPA are probably good enough to get you into Cal and LA on their own, provided that you’re not applying to the College of Engineering at Berkeley.

You will have better chance, if you get 200 more on SAT I.

Good chances! ACT is very good! UCLA maybe pickier, while Cal is more holistic, you should get one, if not both.

I wasn’t really sure how to calculate my UC GPA, but I just used my sophomore and junior year grades, with A=4, B=3, etc. I also gave myself a point for each honor/AP class I took. Then division. Is this right? My weighted GPA is 4.3 because it includes my freshman grades, and I didn’t take any honors in my freshman year. I thought weighted GPA was just a way to look at school rankings.

So my UC GPA really can’t be higher than my weighted GPA?

There is a limit of 8 weighted semesters for UCGPA

The above is true, and at many schools, honors don’t count. You need to check against the UC list. All non A-G classes also have to come out of the calculation.

So 20 As, 2 Bs, and up to 8 honors points.

(20(4)+2(3)+8)/22 = 4.27
So UC GPA=4.27? Does this change anything?

It gives you about the average GPA for accepted students and your SAT is just below the 2060 average. Good chance if you’re from an under represented part of the state, harder if you’re from SF, LA, OC or any place with many competitive students.

ARE you ELC? ei. top 4% of your school.
You’ll get the letter in like 3 weeks i think, if you are.

if you are ELC, then you’ll probably get in easily.
