I got admitted to UCLA (biochem), UCB (molecular toxicology, but i will change my major to nutritional science probably, or even double major), and UCI (pharmaceutical science hopefully, coz i have to take several class there to claim for the major under the biological science department). I have dilemma to make a decision among these schools. Actually, UCI offers me several scholarship that the estimated net cost for me only $6.50 a year, which is so attractive for sure. But UCLA and UCB are extraordinary universities which are dream school for many people. Yet I have heard abt that the science major in CAL is not as good as those in UCLA, so I have difficulty in the decision of the SIR... ><" Can anybody give me some opinions on that?

Have you visited the campuses?

Wait UCI is offering you that big of a scholarship that it will only cost you $6.50???

i hvn't visited UCLA... but I love the campus of CAL and UCI....
ya.. UCI offers me the regents scholarship (they even sent me the certificate beforee... ><") so my net cost is only $6.50!! it is awesome.. but hard to make decision...

with a scholarship like that, I would go to UCI

Go to UCLA or Berkeley -- the money is not that big of an issue in the long run, and you don't want to regret your school choice based on ~15k dollars.

but which one i should choose? Biochem in UCLA or NS&T in CAL??! so annoyed with making such hard decisions

Are you more interested in one? Is there a particular branch of either field that you're most interested in? You could look up the faculty in those departments and see which school has more profs doing research that you'd be interested in getting involved in

As long as you can pay for them with loans, which shouldn't be too bad, go where the program interests you most. It really should be that simple. I got a regents scholarship to UCI and I'm going to Cal, easy choice.
