Hello,

I am having a hard time deciding between the UCLA Art Department-Visual Art and NYU Steinhardt Department-Studio Art. My first choice was (and still is) RISD, but my parents say it's just impossible for me to go there because that school is offering me no financial aid.

-Campus/area-wise, I prefer NYU..It just seems like I would have more inspirations and internship opportunities.
-NYU is offering me only about $28,000 for freshman year, which is quite a small amount in the large scope of things and I don't even know what they can offer me for sophomore year and beyond.
-I basically want to go to NYU, but I don't know if studying art there would better prepare me for an art-related career than I would if I go to UCLA..Is NYU worth it? (I haven't heard much about NYU's Studio Art Program..)
-I am quite interested in pursuing a masters degree as well, which makes UCLA a better choice?
-The only reason I would really want to go UCLA is because I would be going there for free (almost), which allows me to possibly participate in study abroad programs or traveling.

Thanks....
