@jesslols1 I called them yesterday on May 1st asking when the first wave would come out. All I got was ‘after today’, meaning after May 1st. Why do they have to be so vague -_-

Would be nice to see some movement in the UCLA waitlist. My D is hoping for the best! NYU waitlist is moving - they are contacting students and asking them to respond within 22 hours if they are still interested in attending NYU.
I was told mid may by the admissions office at UCLA

UC budget was just passed which is good news for waitlist students.

As far as I can see there is a budget issue for the entire UC system, and all the UCs are holding up waitlist decisions until it is resolved. I could be wrong, but I think it is in the hands of governor Brown.

@bluesky11 On the other UC forums. The UCs can now start taking students from the waitlist based on their new budget.
Unfortunately all UC are facing a budget crisis which in theory would mean each UC would try to accept as many OOS and IS as possible to fill the gap.
Sorry I’m late to the party but now im getting anxious cuz UCLA still hasn’t dropped waitlist results. Someone PLEASE call UCLA or tell us when you hear back or hear ANYTHING because I truly am getting anxious

I did not receive the supplemental questionnaire
I SIRed to UC Berkeley but I really want to go to UCLA because at UC Berkeley you have to mantain a 3.3 GPA for computer science letters and science for courses which is a B+ average which at Berkeley is SUPER rigorous plus UCLA is close to home and I have been closer to that school for many years. It’s really a perfectly ideal fit for me as a college.
Seems like UCLA sent out their first wave of acceptances from their waitlist today.
I know because I just got my acceptance letter.
I’m going to attend USC, but my parents kept me from declining the waitlist offer “out of curiosity.” lol
