Hi everyone - just got my acceptance letter in the mail with honors college and Academic Excellence Scholarship! I think it came early because I applied to the Theater Studies program. I’m sure that everyone will probably hear soon, too!
@Meredy do you mind sharing your stats?
Congratulations @meredy!
Congrats @Meredy ! Just wondering… how much was the academic excellence scholarship (if you’re in state)? Just wondering since it varies from year to year!
Thanks so much! And sure:

Lots of community service (1000+ hours with Girl Scouts and National Charity League over the years)

Congrats Meredy! You are the first UConn we have heard from! Are there any others out there? Good to know some are trickling in this early! Awesome!
Hi @meredy - would you mind letting us know if the decision posted first to the portal? Or did letter come first? Thank you!
@Momof2inCT Of course!
The first thing that happened was that my student center had two new links, “Pay Enrollment Deposit” and “New Admit Scholarship Acceptance” as options, but when I checked my application status, it still said it was “completed” and to check back after the next business day. I was hoping it meant there’d be good news soon, but I wasn’t really sure. I didn’t have to wait too long though, because later that day, my letter came in the mail with the acceptance and honors college/scholarship information!
Congrats Meredy, great stats…
@meredy Congrats! So you are in the School of Fine Arts? They always seem to be the first to release decisions. Looked back at S letter from last year and it was dated Feb 1 so they seem to be a bit earlier this year. We have heard great things about the theatre program so you are in good hands. If you are seriously considering Uconn start looking at the learning communities which I highly recommend. It’s an exciting time and soon all Uconn decisions will be out. Last year was a record application year and it seems like this year will be on pace as well.
i have a friend who found out they got accepted a while ago and they got a full ride from uconn, but they’re turning it down for yale instead
because they got in lol
because they got in lol
Is there another 2023 thread for uconn? Not much action in here! Lol
Nope, this is the correct thread. Not expecting decisions to be made & notified for at least another couple of weeks
Good luck !
