People are saying they called admissions and they said the portal will be updated by the end of the business day

and UConn admissions business hours are 8-4 
Nothing showing up in my informed delivery, but that has been known to not always be accurate. Going to start checking the portal at 3. The suspense is killing me.
are we sure that if you don’t have a blue dot under financial aid that you don’t get any scholarships?
@heyhowareYou2019 from reading last years post it does seem to be true…as I mentioned earlier on in thread I sat down with an admissions counselor during a visit and she said merit was based solely on class rank…they have strict cutoff of top 10 percent of class are only kids who receive merit whether you are from top high school or not top hs
I’m not expecting merit as my S is now in top 11 percent since mid year grades and he has no blue dot?

Merit probably isn’t based solely on class rank… i’m ranked 13 out of a class of 98 and i have the blue dot??
Neither does my school but they will tell students if they are in the top 5% or 10% of their class
@beachmama1 Top 10 merit regardless of school doesn’t seem to make any sense, especially when some schools don’t even have a ranking (like ours).

@HankCT trust me I wish I was wrong but that’s what she said…I asked about kids coming from diff schools based on some being more competitive than others and she said it doesn’t make a difference as they base it on what they achieved with what they were offered…I clarified it with her…as to Hs who don’t rank I asked that too and she said based on school profiles/data they can determine it themselves…I hope I’m wrong but the conversation was crystal clear to me
how much merit do you think? like what are the usual amounts that they give? does anyone know?
And for those with blue dot who aren’t in top 10% that would indicate merit bc of honors invite…she said minimum 1400 but closer to 1450 SATs along with gpa determines honors…you don’t necessarily need to be in top 10% to achieve honors which would bring merit
