UCR or CSUN?

Okay CC crowd, I need everyone's opinion on deciding between CSUN or UCR (assuming I don't get into UCI, UCLA or UCB).
My major at CSUN would be Business Admin, Business Law option and at UCR it would be Poli. Sci. I live in West LA and would be commuting to either campus (yes, I know commuting to UCR sounds ridiculous but I have a great job and apartment that I cannot just leave to dorm at UCR or CSUN.)

So my question is: What school would you guys choose? My ultimate goal is law school or a business graduate program. Basically I am having issues between deciding between slightly more prestige, longer commute, more intellectual academic enviroment (UCR) or shorter commute, more commuter friendly school, potentially easier classes (CSUN)?

Thanks for the opinions guys!

Personally, I’d choose CSUN.

Yeah? Any particular reason? I go to SMC too actually, so its been pretty interesting reading your posts haha.

The difference in terms of learning environments is probably minimal. You’ll learn what you’ll need to learn at either of those schools. CSUN is closer, cheaper, and is a pretty good CSU.

If I were in your situation, I’d choose CSUN.

And I’m glad you find my posts interesting! :)

I heard that CSUN’s college of business is one of their better ones.

Go to CSUN for your sanity’s sake. Don’t try to make a west LA to Riverside commute, regardless of whether or not you’ll be making the commute during rush hour otherwise you’re gonna want to shoot yourself.

I live 20 minutes away from UCR and it is no fun at all to drive there. It’s a nice school though. But you got a much better major at CSUN and much much cheaper. If I were you I would choose CSUN, but I like UCR alot more.

Go to whatever school enables you to get the highest GPA for grad school. I couldn’t tell you whether that’s taking business classes at CSUN or Polisci classes at UCR.

Is money a factor?

For you as business, I prefer CSUN. Better school and option there. Plus you get access some great internships.

Go to CSUN. Sounds more better than dreadful Riverside. You sound like you’re leaning more towards business, anyways.

If grad is your goal think of which school will enable you to get a better GPA. Worry about prestige when you apply for graduate school.
