You may have seen me post around here the last couple of days, sorry about dancing around the same issue. Basically right now I have to options:

Go to UCLA and pay full tuition and hope to get into UCLA Med School, or preferably Johns Hopkins.

Go to UCR for FREE (Regents Scholarship) and attempt to get a spot at the Thomas Haider Program which lets you attend UCLA Med School for the last 2 years of med school and you get an MD Degree from UCLA Med School.

Which is the best path? I’ve called UCR and they said that there’s a proposal to cancel the UCLA part of the Thomas Haider Program if the Med School at UCR opens in 2012, and then those 24 students in the program would go to UCR Med School al 4 years.

I’ve heard countless times people calling UCR a “dumpster” school and that it’s better for me to just got to UCLA. Any final suggestions?
