UC's and light courseloads?

I keep getting varied responses on this issue, so what do you guys think?

the question:
If someone has IGETC, 90 units (60 semester), and all their prereqs complete, does it matter to the UC's if they take 1-2 unit quarters afterwards, or even take a quarter off?

my situation, for background:
I am in my first year of CCC and will have both my major pre-reqs and 90 units complete by the end of Summer 2007. I will probably have IGETC done as well, unless I choose to wait until Fall for a specific teacher. So, that leaves me with no requirements to fulfill during the 07-08 academic year, though I intend to take 3 additional math classes over Fall and Winter quarters for graduate school purposes. I intend to take Spring quarter off. Will this be frowned upon by the UC adcoms?

I don't think they will care.

oh wow, good job! first year and you have most of your units completed?

as long as you have EVERYTHING set and ready (ALL IGETC + PRE-REQS), then you should be good.

i'm in my second year and i have about 120+ quarter units cause of taking courses during HS and this upcoming quarter, i am signing up for calc1b (last prereq and only real course i need to take), golf! and nutrition. this quarter i'm taking calc1a (required), environ studies and anthro just for the credits. i dont need to take the classes, but they're good and easy GPA boosters. so if you're done with all your required classes, just take a very easy load that you know you will get an A in to help boost your gpa. it looks better if you're a continuing student, but then again, if you really dont wanna take more classes than you need to.. it should be all good.
