UC's: Getting a D First Semester Senior Year

Do the UC's rescind your application if you get a D first semester? Or was it just second semester?

You can not get any Ds or Fs your seniod year. Period.

CANNOT?

What do u mean?

it's first or second semester...UCI2011 is right though...absolutely NO Ds or Fs...you have to maintain at least a 3.5

dont get D's or its over

A D is such a bad grade that I am sure you have time to pull it up. Theres always CSU's too if you can't.

If need be, you can do two years at community college or you can even appy to Cal State or something. The UC's are very picky with those who get D's.

What class do you have a D in? Will you be able to bring it up by the end of the semester?

haha if that's the case then a quarter of the entering class would be rescinded.

as of now its in calculus. we only have our final exam left which is worth 200 points. i'm so stressed out right now because i've worked so hard all of my high school career and i don't want one class to just blow it all away. i need to ace these little homework quizzes we're going to have which are worth 10 points and we only have 3 of those left. then theres 10 pts extra credit which i'm getting. yeah... i'm a tad frazzled right now.

So if you don't need a 3.5 (weighted, right?), what do you need?

3.5!? No, you need a 3.0 and no Ds or Fs. They don't say weighted or not weighted but everybody I've asked said 'probably weighted'

your teacher must be really strict to give a senior a D. Did you do your homework in Calculus? Because it helped me last year when I do my homework. You have about seven more weeks to pull it up.

haha yeah well she runs it like a college class. 2 midterms worth 100 pts each, 10 hw check quizzes worth 10 points each, 2 concepts worksheets worth 50 each, and 1 final worth 200 points. i do the homework but i guess i don't study enough. i'm banking on this final ahhh

Simple Solution- Study your ass off. You still have 33% of your grade left. Thus, if you are in D range now, you can get up into C range with a solid grade.

What if I get:

AP BIO - C
AP French - B
AP eng - A
ap gov - A
ap calc - C

is that fine?

haha most def andrw313. its the only way.

speaking of calculus, does anyone know of any books from borders or something that go over calculus in a student friendly way?

i'm in the same boat as you all the way on the east coast. i have a 55% in ap calc and just spent all night making sure my hw was perfect for her bloody 10 point hw quizzes. i'm doomed though because i already failed two tests. ****.

aww groovin :[ freaking calculus must die. keep studying i guess! calc will be my life for the next month
