Yay @ironweasal good for you!
GOT IN WITH UC GPA 3.95 and a 1150 SAT!! First major BIOLOGY! I had alot of ECS that matched my major and my essays were decent-really good I think! YOU CAN DO IT!!
does anyone know how many people applied and how many were accepted this year? What was the acceptance rate?
How do we know if we got into EOP?
Does anyone know how I managed to get honors without getting regents or a chancellors invite? Iām from San Diego so I feel like I shouldāve gotten a chancellors invite but didnāt and am confused and curious to know how this was even possible lol

rejected from UC Santa Cruz so i thought i would for sure be getting rejected from UCSB as well since its way more competitive. im honestly not sure what happened there haha!!
@Shykhan16 As a Mom, Iām sending you a hug. Fortunately, my sonās passion also as a Bio major with the intention to go into ophthalmology, is to go to school on the East Coast. He did get into Merced but in no way would it be a good fit for him so heās not even going to look at it. He was waitlisted from UCSC which he was bummed about as he said that would have been the only school he may have decided to stay in CA for. And he has a bad feeling with his lower academics and VERY low ACT score so he hasnāt logged on to UCSB yet and he still hadnāt heard from UCR. He was admitted to SFSU, but where originally he wanted to go there as a possibility, now for personal reasons in our family he no longer wants to so he will not even go to look at it Iām sure your right school for you will come along. Good luck.
@cutiepie679 OOS is Out Of State.
@confusedstudent21 Admissions to engineering/CS majors are extremely competitive at almost all of the UC schools. Definitely harder to get in as engineering/CS major than most other majors.
@Andreq honestly I got in with a pretty low sat score and underwhelming gpa. There is definitely a chance he got in:) if not i hope heās able to get off the UCSC waitlist. good luck to you!!
@ucplsacceptme Your academics Iām sure are not as low as his. He has some issues which is why he has such a very low AC T score all I will say is it is below 24 and I wont say by how much itās below 24ā¦ And his GPA is I think a 3.2. He has not even logged in to UCSB and I donāt think heās going to. Because he knows what the probable answer is. But hopefully by June 1 maybe he will get off the waitlist of Santa Cruz . However I donāt even think he ever clicked on the accept waitlist option. I told him that he has until April 15 according to the website. So we will seeā¦ He may have done it and just hasnāt said anything to any of us. But congrats to you and good luck with your higher education!
Is it possible to get accepted into ccs but denied from UCSB? I really had my heart set on attending ccs. Iām just hanging on by a thread and thinking maybe I can appeal if I get into ccs. Thanks.
