I’ll play:
Here is my daughter’s scorecard so far…
Rejected: UCLA
Waitlisted: UCSD
Pending: UCB, UCSB, USC, Minerva Schools at KGI
Accepted: UCI, CPSLO, LMU, Chapman, USF
UCSB would likely move into front-runner status if accepted.

Good luck everyone! Just remember that these decisions do not decide how well you’re going to do in life!
My daughter’s scorecard:
Rejected: None yet.
Waitlisted: None yet.
Pending: UCSB (though she got Chancellor’s invite so I think she’s in), George Washington, Georgetown, Columbia, UPenn.
Accepted: UCLA, USC (Presidential scholarship finalist), Tulane (Presidential scholarship/honors college), Fordham ($15k merit), Howard (Presidential (full ride) scholarship).
@MSHopeful Yes but what does your daughter’s scorecard have to do with anything? She applied to UCSB, but the similarity ends there…
@MSHopeful I think with your daughter’s scorecard, it’s clear to see that she’s pretty set regarding where she’ll end up come fall 2017. It seems as though a majority of people on this thread are UCSB hopefuls and haven’t been accepted to as many schools as your daughter. I believe @itslit2017cc simply wants you to be a bit more considerate of those who haven’t received prestigious scholarships at highly selective schools and are really hoping that UCSB will give them a chance.
I was posting because I saw others posting “scorecards” which is why I used that word. I was by no means trying to be disrespectful. And no, we don’t know where she will be going because we have a unique financial situation so although she was accepted to a lot of schools, we may not be able to afford them (with the exception of Howard). I have just as much right to be here as anyone else.
Bitter. @mshopeful was sharing, as many others have in this UCSB thread, where her daughter has been/hasn’t been accepted just as everyone else has. Just because her daughter is doing well in admissions doesn’t mean it’s ok to be mean and let jealousy get the best of you. Let’s be kind.
@MSHopeful I found your post very insightful; It is very interesting to see where others are accepted, denied and waitlisted. Not to mention the others that posted before you that posted their “scorecard”. Good luck to everyone today! We are on pins and needles over here! UCSB was once her first choice; but SLO is looking like it’s taking that place. Was not expecting to be accepted there.
Accepted: SLO
Waitlisted: CSLB
Denied: UCSD
My D:
Rejected: UCLA and UCSD
Accepted: UCD and UCSC
Waiting on the edge of her seat: UCSB
Good luck to everyone!
@MSHopeful I’m by no means offended by your post. And I definitely think it helps for people to know that admissions are really unpredictable each year. I simply wanted to speak for those who weren’t as fortunate as your daughter. But congratulations to her, I hope things line up for your family!
Lmao what is this thread turning into?
Rejected: UCLA, UCSD, Cal Poly SLO,
Waitlisted: UCD, Santa Clara University
Pending: UCB, UCSB, UCI,
Accepted: UCM, UCSC, LMU, Cal Poly Pomona, SDSU, USD, Pepperdine, SJSU
UCSB has been my number one school for a while but I’m not very hopeful. I go to a private school with a lot of smart students. I’ll be so sad if I get rejected. With a 4.0 UC gpa I thought I would be able to get into at least one of the mid tier UCs.
Man… this instigator
@oviandhisbros Do you do both the IBDP and AP?
@nervous17yearold I understand. And thanks! I wish you luck as well in this crazy process.
Good luck! I hope that you will get into UCI (with their stupid rolling admissions) & UCSB! @elstudenttt
Thanks really appreciate that! @itslit2017cc
Congratulations. Your family has done well, and I’d show it around too. We’re just edgy, most of us believing own kids can do anything, while being confronted by colleges who don’t agree. And all of it mattering not so much in the grand scheme. Great kids, all of them, and how lucky we all are, just for that.
Can anyone who went to Chancellor’s reception confirm what I heard? I believe I heard that announcements were actually going to come out today at Noon PDT, three hours earlier than the posted time.
Probably not, They stated that the portal will be down until 3PM @billchu2
