Im at real stand off here. Ive spent 3 years at my cc and now i really want to get out. My only options however are:

1.) go to ucsb, however spend an extra year there finishing up my pre reqs and reapplying back into my major. Which means ill have spent 6 years trying to get a bachelors degree.

2.) Go to UofA and only spend 2 more years finish up my degree and go straight medical school.

I really want to go to ucsb but i dont want to waste time and money since they're only offering me a "pre-major" im scared it might be really difficult there and i wont get into my major. How ever ucsb is the better school than UofA but i dont know if that matters in the long run of going to medical school?

Are you really going to turn down UCSB because you were scared? How do you think that’s going to look?

I know you can get into the full major at UCSB because you were accepted there. Don’t be scared and just do it! Just focus all your attention on that class. Once you get in to the full major after Fall, you’re going to having the most awesome time of your life!

Thanks for the encouraging words mermaker! Im just a little hesitant because they didnt give me my main major (i was only missing 2 pre reqs) they gave me my back up, biochem. And ill be missing 5 pre reqs. Id say I am a pretty studious student but ive never been on the quarter system before and im a bit nervous about having to finish those all up.

Im also trying for medical school so im not sure if spending 6 years to get a bachelors would look good?
