UCSB TAG confusion

I am reading about UCSB tag (still!) and I noticed something I am unsure of.

"Complete the required courses in English composition (two courses designated as UC-E on the UC-Transferable Course Agreement) and mathematics (one course designated as UC-M on the UC-Transferable Course Agreement) with C grades or better by the end of fall 2009 for fall 2010 admission."

So if I am planning to take my last IGETC course, which is MATHEMATICS in the spring before transfer, that means UCSB will not consider me TAG eligible. Right? Are there any exceptions to this??

ALSO...

"Earn a minimum GPA of 3.00 in all UC-transferable course work completed by the end of fall 2009 for fall 2010 admission. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 through the end of spring 2010."

Does this mean, when I submit my application before fall grades come out, UCSB will not look at my GPA until after the fall update? I will have a 2.85 when applying but a 3.03 after fall grades, so I hope they check that in the right order and consider me TAG eligible before making their final decision.

correct

correct(you need to have 3.0 or above by fall 2009)

Good luck anyway!

maybe you shoujld contact UCSB about this, and get a for sure answer.

Question 1. correct you need math by fall to be TAG eligible

Question 2. You just need 3.00 by end of Fall 09 so your fall grade will count they don’t look at application till way after you update in January
