Y it only gotta be CC to UCs

Ramfan, Yeah… unfortunately that’s how it goes. Your course only covers 34A. If it’s only indented where UCSB’s Math 34A starts, it only covers Math 34A. Is this your first transferable math class? If so, you should know that UCSB actually strongly prefers for at least one transferable math class to be completed by the end of FALL. The more I thought about it last night, I really do think UCSB requires Econ pre-reqs to be completed by the end of Spring (with the first transferable math class completed by the end of Fall). I could be wrong though and you should e-mail them to ask.

Let’s assume, in the following two scenarios, that both students have already completed Microecon and Macroecon:

This is how the articulation agreement looks like for one transferable Business Calc course. A student who completes this class would only need to complete a Statistics class before starting at UCSB:

http://oi45.■■■■■■■.com/2lbjcxx.jpg

And here’s two Business Calc courses. A student who would complete this sequence would have met the requirements and would only need to take a Statistics course (either at UCSB or finish it at their CC, but it would NOT be required to be finished before starting at UCSB).

Ramfan, You’re putting yourself at a disadvantage by not completing your Stats by the end of Spring as well. I’m sure UCSB will accept those Econ majors who have already completed their pre-reqs by the end of Fall and those who have pre-reqs in progress.

If that’s the case hopefully I get lucky; if not just hope my UCSC tag saves me lol…Laringa, I’ve taken trigonometry and Behavioral Stats class. I’ve looked all over the UCSB site for the transfer counselor. Do you know where I can find an email?

admissions@sa.ucsb.edu

Okay thank you!! I rather have them break my heart now than me getting my hopes up and get crushed later lol…I’ll let you know what they respond, well if they respond lol

I’m on the same boat as you Ramfan. If I don’t get accepted to UCSB, I’m more than happy to attend UCSC(TAG). At this point, I don’t even want to go to UCSB. I feel like I’ll be happier at UCSC taking 3 classes a quarter than at UCSB taking 4.

Mermaker, are you also missing a pre req or two? What’s your major bud? Both are good schools, but UCSB is 2 hours from home, whereas UCSC is 5 hours North. UCSC’s campus is amazing, so I hope at least one of them accepts me lol

I’m completing the transferable math requirement during Spring 2013. I’m missing 3 out of 5 prerequisites, but you have to take 2 of them at UCSB, so technically I’m missing one.

No worries man, I’m also missing a few major pre-reqs. are you also an Econ major? I’m sure we’ll both get in at least at one of those two schools.

Naw I’m a Bio Anthro major ha

@ramfan661

You are also Econ major? how is your gpa? I’m interested in all the mid-tier UCs and hope one of them can admit me. Did you tag to UCSB?

@Ram and Mer, I think you guys will get in one of the two for sure! I think UCSC would be the easy choice between the two for me but I think I’ll visit SB’s campus before I decide fully!

TCCOM: I’m an Econ major man, my gpa is 3.52…I’m missing one pre-req(stats) which for UCSB is crucial, but I’m planning to take it in the summer(hopefully that doesn’t go against me), so we’ll see if I get lucky…thanks Mr. Randall; I hope so man.

I tagged to UC Santa Cruz by the way.

Mr. Randall I’ve visited UCSC’s campus, and all I have to say, AMAZING. I live two hours away from Santa Barbara that’s why I slightly prefer SB if I get lucky and get in both.

@ramsfan hah you’re making me laugh with all this “Mr. Randall”. Anyways yeah man I love ucsc I live far away from both campuses so either way Im transfer dorming it but yeah ha. I tagged to UCSC as well and I can’t see any reason why I won’t get into both, without sounding too confident.

what’s your major and gpa man??

3.95 Econ and everything will be complete after this semester.

Can someone please help me with my AP Psychology problem
