UCSB vs. UCSD

Im trying to decide between the two. I dont really like UCSD because it doesnt have an undergraduate business program while UCSB does. whats the better choice??

They both have fine programs, although SD is more known for their sciences, and SB..well the most popular major is BizEcon. The decision should be made based upon how you like the campus/atmosphere. SB is more laid back with studying and into partying more than SD. SB is a lot more social, SD is a lot more serious academics :). Both are right on the beach.

Are you talking about the Business econ program??? Because if you are then you should know that the Business Econ isn't really Business, its more along the lines of just beeing Econ.

well SB has business econ with focus on accounting for undergrads. SD just has econ. which one would look better for grad school??

SD has management science, same as bizecon.

Look at this
http://www.econ.ucsd.edu/ugradprog/Management%20Science%20Planning%20Sheet%208_04.pdf

This is also quite helpful
http://www.econ.ucsd.edu/ugradprog/majdiff.pdf

wow thanks collegemom for your help. management science seems like a better option for me then economics, but it does have a few more classes including linear algebra. hmm. this is tough decision

You should retake the SAT if you get the chance. A 1700 wont cut it for most, and SB/SD are on point system, so SAT counts for more (in a way).

Thanks For The Info!!
What Kind Of Sat Score Do You Think I Should Get?

For UCSB I say shoot for 1900. The Community Service gets you a lot of points ;).
