I got into both programs, but I'm having trouble deciding which one to go to. I see UCSD as more of a science school (engineering and whatnot), so I don't really know if SD economics program is exactly good.... I do know that SB business economics is a decent program. Which one is better?

I'd also like to have a good social life in college, so this whole "UCSD=boring" frenzy doesn't exactly thrill me.

If UCSB business economics is better than that of UCSD, then I'm gonna go to SB for sure. But even if UCSD economics were to be a little better than SB's, is it really worth spending the next 4 years of my life in complete boredom?

UCSD is a very very good school I am not exactly sure how there business programs ranks or whatever I would imagine that you will get a high quality education that you worked you butt off for I would probobly go with UCSD personally pm if you like

you have a little time left to decide. Visit both schools, get a feeling of which is better for you.

As for econ vs. biz-econ, you should check with the schools to see what your options are after finishing. Most biz-econ programs prepare you for the CPA exam, most straight econ are more theory oriented.
