I am currently on the waitlist for UC Santa Barbara. Along with accepting the waitlist offer, I also sent an appeal letter. Does anyone know when UCSB will release the waitlist or appeal decisions? I know that UCI, UCSD, and UCLA have been releasing waitlist decisions this week. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I’m in the exact same boat as you. My appeal status has been Decision Pending for almost 3 weeks now. So nerve wracking!

I had to sir towards UCR at the moment just in case the waitlist doesn’t fall through… My question is for the housing contract, which is due by May 10, is the first housing contract refundable

From Ms. Sun’s UC Admissions Blog:

“Santa Barbara is a little over on the number of California resident SIRs. So I don’t think the campus will be accepting students from the waitlist … get out your backup plan!”

Another person on ms suns admission blog said she or he got in though the appeal system, so maybe there is still a chance for us!

@asbvpgirll I saw that on her blog too! I also hope that we are accepted. The wait is agonizing. I check the portal twice every day to see if anything changes. So far it’s still: Appeal Received - Decision pending. :(

Good Luck to all who are on the waitlist.

I’m in the same situation too! I sent a short “appeal” letter letting them know how much I would like to attend UCSB. I think the UCSB waitlist decisions last year came out on May 6, so hopefully they will be released soon! :)
