Any computer engineering majors hear back yet?
Anyone know when the next batch might be? Im tired of constantly checking many times each and every day lol.
I keep checking too. I think the next batch should be in 3-4 days from looking at last year’s thread.
I’m joined a bit late to the thread, but here is my information. I haven’t heard back from UCSC and my last name begins with S.
Major: molecular biology
GPA: 3.25
Applied: San Jose State, UCSC, UCSB, UC Merced, UC Davis (TAG)
(I applied to every school under molecular biology except for Davis. I applied as Genetics and genomics for UCD)
Accepted: San Jose State, UC Davis (TAG)
However, I am worried about the TAG for davis because I am borderline.
Hello everyone, I have a question for the accepted transfer students from last year or for anyone who can answer my question. I am, like other transfer applicants, waiting for my admission news, but I am quite worried since UC requires transfers to have at least two writing courses. I took one and I am taking one right now this spring 2016. UC website says I need these two courses before transferring to UC. Do you think I am at a huge disadvantage that can lead to a rejection because I don’t have two courses of writing?
Thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it.
No youre fine. Just finish it this semester. And it is the appropriate writing course right? No just a random English course?
@BlackPlasma Man, they are brutal with this lol. I have a feeling we’re not going to hear back until next month from looking at posts from last year
anyone have any experience or knowledge of what will happen with a c-, in one course, after getting admission
@bolognese
Yea, the waiting is UHHH. Makes me want to pull at my hair in frustration. Like rip my heart out and just be done with it.
Hey @alshaikh from what I’ve read on UCSC forums, C- are considered a failing grade at UCSC. I’m not too sure about transfer students, but I’ll imagine you’ll have to retake that class for it to count at UCSC.
Well usually as per acceptance, there are provisions. Most do not say get no D,F, or C- grades. Just check yor provisions, and maintain the Gpa they require and don’t get any grades they say not to get
if the provision was for no c-, and i got 1 does that mean automatic cancel?
Yikes. Uhm they very well could. Was it a major requirement or anything serious?
no it was not a major requirement
I would be careful with your advice, @uchopeful414. I suggest you speak directly with the school instead of speculating on a forum where none of us really know anything for certain, @alshaikh. Just my two cents.
alright,i will thanks
You’re welcome. I hope you get some good news, @alshaikh.
What did I say that wasn’t correct?
Here lemme hook you up. I’ll site my sources so it’s no longer “speculation”

The answer to your question is in there.
About halfway down under admitted transfer students.
@uchopeful414 its not that you may have said anything incorrect, but your making assumptions based on information you have read. you can only be as certain as an outsider can be. best bet for anyone is to contact their transfer center, or the admissions center directly.
